Admissions in ITIs

The following candidates are eligible for admission in the ITI's of the State.

1. Those who are permanent residents of the Jammu and Kashmir
   State (except the wards of Defence Personnel for whom special
   Sanction from the Government is required).
2. Those who are between 14-40 years of age as on 1st of August of the Corresponding year (relaxable to 45 years in case of ex-servicemen and war widows). There is no upper age limit for exclusively women candidates being admitted in the Women ITI's/ Wings.
3. Those who possess the minimum academic qualification prescribed for each trade.
4. Those who undertake to abide by the rules/regulations of the ITI's.

Fees & Payments

Candidates selected against free seats, for admission in Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance (IT&ESM) Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA), Electrician, Electronic Mechanic and Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Trades shall be required to deposit Rs. 400/- as Admission Fee and Rs 50/- as Student's Fund. Those selected for admission in other Trades shall have to deposit Rs 300/- as Admission Fee and Rs 50/- as Student's Fund.

Candidates selected against payment seats in the Trades IT&ESM, COPA, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic and Air Conditioning & Refrigeration shall have to deposit a fee of Rs 3000/- besides the charges mentioned above. Those selected for other Trades against the payment seats shall have to deposit a fee of Rs 1000/- besides the charges mentioned above.
